About Us
Who We Are and What We Do
We are consumer product mavens and marketers who are fueled by a passion to prevent waste and a profound respect for natural resources. We see opportunities for businesses to become leaders in their industry through the power of eco-innovation and credible green marketing.
We help our clients to meet their consumers' needs sustainably by: identifying areas of strategic opportunity; generating concepts for new 'greener' products, services and business models; strategically positioning products in the marketplace, and via thought-leadership, workshops and trainings.
What Makes Us Unique
We are pioneers and leaders. Since our founding in 1989, we have worked with global sustainability giants including several Fortune 500 companies including 3M, Johnson and Johnson, and GE. We have led the strategic marketing of the U.S. EPA's Energy Star and the USDA Certified Biobased label, among other respected eco-labels.
Our founder and principal, Jacquie Ottman, is one of the world's foremost experts on green marketing and eco-innovation. A self- professed 'waste watcher' since the ripe old age of four, she is on a personal mission to eradicate household waste and transform our culture. (Check out her posts on our new website and consumer-curated blog, WeHateToWaste.com.)
For the past 25 years, we have advised clients across a wide variety of consumer and B2B product categories. This allows us to bring deep expertise to every project we undertake, enhancing our ability to generate new learning and insights.
Always pushing the boundaries of our thinking, we are currently exploring the power of such ideas as 'shared responsibility' and 'collaborative consumption' as avenues for decoupling consumption from resource use.
