Hand Held Metal Detectors
JW Fishers - Search & Recovery Underwater Metal Detector
JW Fishers SAR-1 was specifically designed for military, law enforcement and public safety dive teams to locate metallic objects in low visibility environments. The "snareless" SAR-1 has a streamlined design with no external wires or cables which makes this detector the ideal tool for work in environments with potential entanglement hazards. The SAR-1 has both visual (ten ultra bright LEDs) and sensory (vibration) target indicators. When the detector approaches a metal object the handle begins to vibrate and a few of the LEDS illuminate. As the bright yellow search coil gets closer to the target, the vibration becomes more rapid and more of the high intensity red LEDs light up. The number of LEDs that illuminate is helpful determining the size and burial depth of the target. Small targets may only illuminate 2 or 3 LEDs whereas larger targets will light up the complete display.
Diver Mag - Diver-Held Ferrous Metal Detector
The Diver Mag 1 is a top performing microprocessor driven marine magnetometer detection system with a one nano-tesla sensitivity. This hand-held mag is a super sensitive detector of ferrous metal (iron/steel) that works equally well on land and underwater. The mag will locate pipe lines, cables, cannons, dredge parts, and just about any ferrous metal object of any size. Ruggedly constructed for commercial operations, the Diver Mag 1 was designed with user friendly controls for ease of operation. Out of the water, the handle grip makes the mag easy to carry.
Pipe Tracker
The PT-1 is a sensitive, pinpointing magnetometer. It works equally well on land, and in fresh or salt water. The PT-1 was specifically designed to locate and track iron and steel pipelines and armored cables, but it will also detect all ferrous (iron/steel) targets buried under any kind of material, including concrete, with no loss in detection range.
Boat Towed Metal Detectors
Proton - Ultimate Detector for Iron and Steel
The Proton 4 is the ultimate detector for iron and steel targets. It has a one gamma sensitivity, which is the maximum practical sensitivity for a towed magnetometer. It`s maximum range capability of 1500 feet on each side (3000 foot total swath) lets you search a wide area quickly and completely. The mag is also a good choice to locate a variety of smaller targets such as pipelines, anchors, chains, cannons, dredge heads, etc. It is especially useful when objects are buried in the bottom and can`t be found with sonar or video search systems. The detection range is unaffected by the medium between the magnetometer and the metal target.
Proton - Proton Magnetometer
The PROTON 5 is a fifth-generation proton magnetometer from JW Fishers. It is a top performing microprocessor driven marine magnetometer detection system. The Proton 5 definitive detector for iron and steel targets. It`s maximum range capability of 1,500 feet (450m) on each side (3,000-foot total swath) lets you search a wide area quickly and completely. Performance does not change whether detecting through air, water, silt, sand, or solid coral. It`s extremely large detection area make this magnetometer the ideal choice for both commercial operations and professional wreck hunters.
Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs)
SeaLion - Mobile Underwater Camera Systems
Fishers ROVs are completely mobile underwater camera systems that are controlled from the surface and capable of staying submerged indefinitely. These ROVs are ideally suited to a variety of applications including pipeline inspections, river and ocean searches, dam surveys, oil and gas platform work, fish farming, and homeland security operations. They can dramatically reduce search time, as well as the risk and high cost associated with diving operations. Equipped with the RMD-1 remote metal detector the ROV becomes a high tech search system capable of locating weapons, unexploded ordnance, pipelines, buried treasure, and other metal objects.
Underwater Camera Systems
HD Diver Held Camera system
A diver controlled, underwater camera system with topside viewing. The DHC-2 HD Diver Held Camera system is the next generation video camera now coming standard with full-HD 1080p video. The HD-TVI camera produces 1920 x 1080 (1080p) full-HD video for sharp, detailed imaging. HD-TVI technology supports longer cable transmission distances while allowing the picture to still travel over standard coax cable, producing a zero-latency, high definition video experience. It is the ideal tool for hull inspections, bridge inspections, or any of the numerous underwater structure inspections encountered by today’s commercial diver. This system provides a cost-effective method for underwater search and video inspections. The DHC-2 HD is an ideal tool for hull inspections, bridge inspections, or any of the numerous underwater structure inspections encountered by today`s commercial diver.
Sonar Systems
Side Scan Sonar System
Side scan sonar is one of the most effective tools for underwater exploration because it can search a large area quickly and produce a detailed picture of anything on the bottom, regardless of water clarity. When looking at a side scan image it appears as if the water has been removed and the operator is getting an unobstructed view of the ocean floor, lake bottom, or river bed. High resolution images are sent from the towfish to a topside computer (included with the system) for display and storage. An optional Microsoft Surface® tablet mounted to the inside of the control box lid can be added for a “sleeker” package versus the standard laptop (see image on side).
Acoustic/Sonar Locators
JW Fishers - Mid-Frequency Acoustic Pingers
JW Fishers acoustic pingers make it quick and easy to relocate an underwater site or piece of equipment. The pinger is attached to an underwater location where it continuously transmits a sonar signal. A diver equipped with a pinger receiver can detect the acoustic signal and follow it directly to the pinger. Pingers are available with different transmit frequencies so several can be deployed in the same general area without interfering with each other. The diver sets the pinger receiver to the desired frequency and is guided directly to the pinger.

JW Fishers - Deep Dive Wing
JW Fishers DDW-1 Deep Dive Wing is a low cost depressor wing designed to tow instrument packages at deeper depths. Operating on the principle of hydrodynamic depression rather than just weight, depressor wings overcome the limitations of conventional downrigger systems. The DDW-1 Deep Dive Wing provides a stable platform for towing instrument packages to greater depths with less cable being deployed. The design of DDW-1 creates a significant downward force that overcomes drag and pulls the tow cable downward as the wing moves through the water. The "dive angle" is determined by the position of the tow point on the wing which is operator adjustable. Larger instrument packages have more drag and require a greater dive angle. Changing the tow point allows different size instrument packages to be towed to the required depth.
