Dense Phase Solutions

JDB - Batch Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying System

JDB Dense Flow Batch Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying Systems feature superior system components, and an advanced air delivery system that conveys at the lowest possible material velocity with minimal wasted energy.  A Batch Conveying system is the most common form of dense phase pneumatic conveying, and offers a cost effective method for conveying dry, bulk material from point A to B.

JDB - Dense Phase Continuous Conveying System

Continuous Dense Phase Conveying Systems are often built to convey material long distances (over 1000’) and/or at high tonnage rates (more than 25 tons/hr.).  They are the most efficient, and feature the lowest average material velocity compared to any other form of pneumatic conveying.  Continuous Dense Phase Systems typically operate with two pressure vessels working in tandem or with a single pressure vessel equipped with a discharge valve; all the configurations continually convey multiple batches of material through a single pipeline at once.  The low material velocities and minimal wasted energy in a continuous system is due to the fact that a continuous system has little to no blowdown in between batches being conveyed.

JDB - Dense Phase Low Tonnage Conveying Systems

JDB Dense Flow Low Tonnage conveying systems are designed to offer the same benefits and system features as our standard Batch Dense Phase systems with low material velocities, minimal moving parts, and pipeline components designed to outlast all others. Low Tonnage Dense Phase conveying systems are an economical conveying solution when low convey rate capacities are required to transfer dry, free flowing material from point A to B.

Dense Phase Components

JDB - Flow Cone Valve

The Dense Flow Cone Valve, when combine with the Dense Flow Charging Hopper is able to achieve the same performance results where competitors require three or more valves on their Dense Phase conveying Systems. The Cone Valve is cast from ductile iron and features a machined sealing area that creates a stronger seal as the pressure within a conveying system increases.

JDB - Flow Densealloy Pipe Stub

The Dense Flow Densealloy Pipe Stub is a 2’ hardened section of SCH. 80 pipe. Our Densealloy Hardening process insures the stubs I.D. is 600 BHN which translates into a piece of pipe that will last up to 8 times longer than non-hardened pipe. The Densealloy Pipe Stub was designed as an alternative to replacing an entire length of pipe.

JDB - Flow Pocket Elbow

The Dense Flow Pocket Elbow is intended for use on pneumatic conveying pipelines, particularly where highly abrasive materials are being conveyed. The cast, short radius elbow body features a unique pocket at the materials deflection point. The deflection point is where material first makes contact with the elbow; it’s also the point at which wear is most likely to occur.

JDB - Flow Cone Bottom Pressure Vessels

Dense Flow Cone Bottom Pressure Vessels are designed and built according to A.S.M.E. code with a pressure rating of 125psi, and temperature rating of 300 Deg. F. Standard pressure vessel sizes range from 1 cubic foot to 250 cubic feet in capacity.

JDB - Flow Capacitance Level Control Valve

The Dense Flow Capacitance Level Control is commonly used to detect high or low material levels in a bin, silo, etc. Every unit comes stand- ard with an enclosed control board that features probe sensiOvity adjustment, and fail safe high or low setngs. The control board is protected by a dust Oght aluminum housing, and is easily accessed through a threaded cap. The probe itself is
stainless steel, and probe funcOon can be tested while the unit is installed.

Unloading Solutions

JDB - Baghouse Unloading System

When it comes to conveying solutions for Baghouse Unloading, a Dense Phase Pneumatic System offers a reliable, low maintenance, low cost answer. Virtually all industrial facilities have some form of dust collection, and often times it comes in the form of a Baghouse. Baghouse style dust collection systems operate with a powerful fan used to create suction through a series of ductwork. Dust laden air is pulled through the ductwork into a large dust collector or baghouse.

JDB - Ball Mill Unloading System

Dense Phase pneumatic conveying offers a conveying solution for ball mill unloading that is fully enclosed (dust free), and conveys material at low velocities with minimal moving parts. A Ball Mill is a large rotating cylinder filled with heavy grinding balls used to pulverize a variety of materials into fine powders. Material exiting the discharge of a ball mill is often extremely fine and aerated, so, mechanical methods of conveying (belt, screw conveyors, etc.) can leak dust and material into the area surrounding the ball mill potentially causing hazardous or harmful conditions. A dust free conveying method (Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying) is preferred. Also, because the material pulverized in ball mills is often abrasive the low material velocity and minimal moving parts within a Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying system insures system downtime and maintenance costs are kept low.
