JAS - Natural Gas Analyzer
The natural gas used by consumers consists mainly of methane with some C2-C6 hydrocarbon and permanent gas impurities. However, raw natural gas may come from different sources, oil wells, gas wells and condensate wells, and is not pure when initially produced. The natural gas composition also differs depending on the source. In order to analyze these different natural gas compositions accurately, various natural gas analyzer configurations are required.
Inlets
JAS - For Isothermal Vaporization
The UNIS basic model for isothermal vaporization with a maximum temperature of 400 °C. It can be used for split/splitless as well as pulsed split/splitless injection.
JAS - Heating Device
The UNIS 2100 allows comprehensive PTV as well as S/SL, CoC and PP injection modes. It supports Solvent Vent, Large Volume Injection and other sample inlet techniques. The PTV inlet has an extended range of different cooling options: compressed air, external cooling with compressed air, liquid CO2, liquid N2 and Peltier element cooling. This gives the end user excellent PTV capabilities down to the cryo temperature range. The Peltier cooling element is a cost effective alternative to common cooling options as no coolant is required.
Sample Introduction Systems
JAS - Automated Gas Bag Sampler System
The JAS GBS allows automated sampling of gases, stored in tedlar bags or gas sampling balloons, as well as gas cylinders, e.g. calibration gas cylinders. Sample transfer is carried out via a multi-position valve. Each gas sampling inlet is equipped with an in-line filter to avoid multi-position valve blocking. Connection to the GC can be made by means of 1/16” SS tube. The GBS is controlled via a special JAS Control Software.
JAS - Gas Injection Control Unit
Reproducible results with low Relative Standard Deviations (RSD; measured in percent) are two main aspects of modern gas analysis. Fundamental is the gas sample injection at reproducible and controllable volumes, pressures and temperatures. This is especially challenging in cases where one GC system is required to handle samples coming from different sample containers and where the sample characteristics may vary from injection to injection.

JAS CryoTrap - Gaschromatographic Separation GC Column
The JAS CryoTrap allows you to trap (very) volatile components and preconcentrate these components before being injected on a gaschromatographic separation column. This refocussing step results in a narrow band injection and overcomes peakbroadening issues and related separation problems. It will improve integration- and peak identification of the various peaks in the chromatogram. The JAS CryoTrap is specially designed for installation in an Agilent 7890 or 6890 GC. This system includes the latest economical- and technical design like a low thermal mass, highly effective insulation and extreme fast heating rate. These functional properties will ensure reliable operation at any chosen columnoven temperature. The extreme fast heating of the cold trap (up to 700 °C/min) enables in a fast evaporization of the trapped components and a better chromatographic separation.
