Our primary business focus is in the area of metal catalyst recycling. Kalumetals has been processing catalysts for value added recycling applications for over 15 years. Though our specialty is in the area of Raney-type Sponge Nickel Catalyst, we are also very experienced in recycling catalysts which contain the following metals or combinations thereof: Cobalt, Copper, Molybdenum, Nickel, Palladium, Platinum, Ruthenium, Rhodium, Silver, Vanadium, Zinc.

In addition to our primary processing furnace for spent catalysts and metal residues, Kalumetals maintains a compliment of specialty metallurgical furnaces on hand. These include a vacuum furnace, hydrogen belt furnace and an indirect fired rotary tube furnace. In addition to the traditional drying and calcining services that we provide, we are also able to perform: specialty oxidation of finely divided metals, oxide reduction, de-lubing of metal powders and solids, drying under a non oxygen atmosphere, vacuum annealing.

Kalumetals is very experienced at evaluating and characterizing spent catalysts and metallic by-products. We would welcome the opportunity to evaluate your material and report back to you a complete characterization report including testing and analytical data. At that time we would make a recommendation for a recycling path and provide a pricing proposal for your consideration. Whether it is a 250 ml sample or a truckload quantity, Kalumetals can quickly determine and document a material`s chemical composition and physical properties. Additionally, Kalumetals is very experienced with RCRA characteristic waste determinations and is available to help a generator through this process.
