Kardol
Kardol
Kardol was founded in 1939 to manufacture car appearance products. By 1980, Kardol had over 100 car appearance products and dominated its market within 100 miles of Cincinnati, Ohio. A survey at that time showed that 92 of the new car dealerships in that market used Kardol car appearance products. In 1980, H.A. (Sam) Bedwell bought the company from its two chemist founders. After his purchase, Sam developed a full line of repair products for the automotive paint, body and equipment aftermarket (called the PBE market), the marine, hardware paint sundries and consumer markets. Sam’s son Mark joined the company in 1981 and became President in 1982.
