The purpose of Kinder Morgan`s Operations Management System (OMS) is to capture our important operational objectives and expectations into a single management system. A management system is a framework that an organization uses to direct and control work to achieve its objectives in an intentional and continual manner. Every employee should be familiar with and receives annual training on the OMS.

Kinder Morgan Treating has a full staff of process engineers who are dedicated to understanding our clients’ needs for natural gas treating and gas processing. Once provided with inlet gas composition and conditions, our team will run a simulation to determine the equipment that is best suited for the application. Our simulation will provide a detailed report of the outlet gas and liquid composition and conditions, as well as any other requested information. Additionally, Kinder Morgan Treating’s engineers are available to answer questions that might arise concerning the process simulation and field applicability.

Kinder Morgan offers turnkey installation for all of our plants. Throughout the project, our clients will have a dedicated Project Manager and Construction and Installation Specialist (CIS) to help provide a seamless equipment installation. The initial startup, adjustment of the equipment and the training of the operator(s) are also included. We maintain a fleet of fully outfitted service trucks and trained service technicians who can be available 24 hours a day to address any urgent service requirements.

As the largest transporter of CO2 in North America, we can move approximately 1.5 Bcf/d through the Cortez pipeline that delivers roughly 80% of the CO2 used for Permian EOR. We are experts at developing and constructing CO2 pipelines. This makes us uniquely positioned for CCUS projects around our existing infrastructure or allows us to leverage that experience for greenfield projects throughout the U.S.

Kinder Morgan is a natural fit for facilitating CCUS projects, with decades of experience permanently injecting CO₂  into depleted oil fields as part of our enhanced oil recovery (EOR) business, along with developing and operating the largest CO₂ pipeline capacity system in the United States.  Even more compelling is the fact that within 30 miles of our existing CO₂ pipelines, we estimate that there are many significant carbon capture opportunities from natural gas processing/treating, natural gas power and coal power facilities. We are leveraging our operational and technical expertise to participate across the value chain for CCUS projects, which includes capture from emissions sources, transport, and utilization (EOR) or sequestration.

With two liquefaction plants operating 24/7/365 to produce purified, liquefied natural gas (LNG) that is consistently cheaper than diesel, Kinder Morgan dependably meets these criteria. Our access to Liquefied Renewable Natural Gas (LRNG) allows fleets and shippers to reduce emissions across the supply chain.
