Recycling Sorting Equipment - Screens

Krause - Screen

Krause’s OCC Screen effectively separates cardboard from other material types.A unique star-shaped drive shaft allows for uniform size openings that ensure even flow of materials and the most efficient separation of all types of materials. Kickers on each shaft ensure smaller pieces of cardboard go over the top instead of dropping thru with other fiber. Krause OCC Screens are easy to clean and maintain.

Krause - Steel Disc Screen

Krause ADC Steel Disc Screens have the largest shaft and bearing size in the industry. These shouldered discs have hardened inserts, which provide long life and consistent hole size. They are built with a labyrinth seal to protect bearings from contamination.

Krause - Fines Disc Screen

Our Fines Screens are designed with larger diameter discs to prevent wrapping of the shafts. This larger diameter, combined with spiral placement on the shaft, makes Krause Fine Screens the most aggressive primary sizing screens on the market. It provides more action than other screens with traditional straight mounting of discs.

Krause - Trommel Screens

Krause Trommel Screens deliver high-throughput paired with high-quality end-products. Processing up to 100 tons per hour of MSW, C&D, Green Waste and other type of material, Krause Trommel Screens are revolving screen cylinders that efficiently utilize gravity, centrifugal force, adjustable screening plates and tilt positions to separate materials at the front of your equipment line to maximize system capacity and performance. Whether you are retrofitting your existing system or designing a new one, add a KMI Trommel Screen and be sure of seamless integration and optimum value and performance.

Recycling Sorting Equipment

Krause - Bag Opener

Our Bag Opener eliminates the need for manual bag openers. The CP Bag Opener is equipped with sharp steel knives affixed to the rotating drum. Material is opened from the bag discharged to a single conveyor below. Adjustments to the Bag Opener can me made via touch screen allowing the operator to maximize system efficiency based on the material being fed. You can be ensured a long and dependable life of the durable Bag Opener.

Eddy Current Separator

Our eddy current separator is designed to increase aluminum recovery in MRF’s. The separator yields the best separation of nonferrous metal from non-metallic contamination. As aluminum cans or other non-ferrous metals pass over the drum, the alternating magnetic field creates eddy currents that repel the material away from the conveyor. While other materials fall off at the end of the conveyor, the non-ferrous metals are driven over a splitter for the best separation.

Krause - Overbelt Electro Magnetic Separator

The Over-Belt Electro Magnetic Separator allows for efficient separation and recovery of ferrous metal material. The magnet is placed over the stainless steel section in your conveyor and ferrous material is attracted to the electro-magnet force above which adheres to the conveyor belt allowing for transfer of the ferrous material to silo or storage container. These powerful, self-cleaning separators come equipped with a tough, vulcanized rubber belt with cleats to continuously remove steel from the stream. The Over-Belt Magnet is available in both electro and permanent magnet styles.

Recycling Sorting Equipment - Glass Recycling Equipment

Glass Breaker Screen

The Glass Breaker Screen is a multi-deck screen that utilizes cast chromium elliptical discs set at a 90-degree angle to break and separate glass at highly efficient rates. Containers and glass fall onto the first angled deck where broken glass and fines are separated, enabling aluminum, plastic and steel containers to pass through. Our Glass Breaker Screen provides a better way to simplify glass processing, increase system throughput and optimize revenue streams.

Recycling Sorting Equipment - Metering Equipment

Heavy Duty Rotating Drum

Featuring a heavy-duty rotating drum that prevents surges and provides a consistent material feed rate, the Metering Drum cost-effectively layers light and heavy materials at the outset. An electric eye monitors the material being fed to the drum from the primary feed. The eye is adjusted to ensure there is always a bit too much material in front of the drum, but also that there is not material overflowing the containment area. This eye is capable of starting and stopping the feed conveyor and therefore capable of automating what the loader/operator does. The result is optimum efficiency and increased throughput, system-wide. Whatever the size of your MRF, you will benefit from increased system capacity, decreased downtime and an immediate return on your investment.

Drum Feeder

The Drum Feeder utilizes an above ground hopper with either a walking floor or conveyor to move in-feed material into a rotating metering drum to provide even flows of both light material over the drum and heavier materials under. This layering of light and heavy materials creates the most efficient presentation to automated or manual sorting in order to cost-efficiently maximize efficiency system-wide while increasing throughput as well as recovery.
