Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Emission

Nitrogen oxides emission is influenced by the molecules of the ECOBIK‘s additives in two ways: The concentration reduction in burned gases, due to large reductions of excess air needed, added to the reduction of fuel’s specific consumption; the possible generation in combustion, in the high-temperature zone where the thermal NOx would form, of nitrogen pentoxide which will rapidly oxidize the saturated and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Sulfur Oxides (SOx)

Sulfur oxides are generated in combustion, especially SO2.  Part of these oxides arrives at SO3, in variable proportions depending on each fuel compositions and the intrinsic performance of firing system. In the burned gases, SO3 meets the necessary conditions to change into sulfuric acid: water molecules, necessary catalysts (V2O5 or Fe2O3) and adequate temperatures.
