Storage & Handling - Reclaim Systems / Silo Unloaders

Model 3445, 4300, 5300, 8300, 9300, 9600 - Cone-Bottom Silo Unloader Reclaim System

Cone-bottom storage and reclaim systems are ideal for materials with poor to moderate flow characteristics, such as dry meals, chemicals, plastics, and small wood waste. Standard systems are typically available with 30, 45, or 60 degree hoppers in either steel tanks or corrugated bins up to 60 feet in diameter.  Customized hopper angles and tank diameters are also available. The Model 3445 is a simple, effective, and economic low-delivery-rate system that provides an electrically-powered reclaimer at a fixed 45-degree hopper configuration.  The 4300 hydraulic-drive series allows complete customization in mid-range delivery-rate applications of approximately 55 CFM or less.  The 5300 hydraulic-drive series provide heavy-duty systems for higher-range delivery rates of up to 200 CFM.  The hydraulically powered series (Models 8300, 9300 and 9600) are the most rugged cone-bottom systems available, capable of high delivery rates between 200 and 400 CFM.

Model 243, 533, 543, 633, 643, 733 - Storage and Reclaim Systems

The cantilever storage and reclaim systems are designed to accommodate a wide range of material applications in flat-bottom storage structures. The Model 243 is designed for structures up to 30’ diameter, and can handle a wider-range of materials with delivery rates of up to 200 CFM. The Model 533 and 633 (hydraulic drive) and the Model 543 and 643 (electric drive) are heavy-duty designs for structures up to 40’ in diameter. These heavy-duty systems can handle larger-particle-size materials with delivery rates between 200 and 400 CFM. Standard systems are designed with steel bolted tanks. Alternative designs can incorporate concrete silos. For lighter applications (some Model 243 applications) corrugated bins are also available. The largest and most robust model in the cantilever series is the Model 733 boasting up to 80` in diameter.

Model 298, 498, 698, 698H, 1098, 1098H - Track-Drive Silo Unloader Reclaim System

These rugged, track-driven systems are designed for continuous operation under the most challenging conditions. When higher-volume delivery is required, or when handling materials with poor flow characteristics, track-driven reclaim systems are often the best solution. Storage structures for this series range from 20’ to 70’ in diameter. Typical systems incorporate bolted steel tanks, available with various internal and external coatings, depending on application requirements. Concrete silo reclaim systems are also available. The Model 298 can provide delivery rates of up to 200 CFM, while the 698 and 1098 offer delivery rates up to 300 CFM and 400 CFM, respectively.

DOMinator - Model 2098 & 2098H - Silo Unloader Reclaim System

Based on Laidig`s decades of unequaled experience in track-driven reclaim systems, the 2098 and 2198 are the next generation of automated high-delivery reclaim combined with high-volume vertical storage. The dome system is available in reinforced concrete structures of up to 150’ in diameter x 90’ high that can provide up to 1,000,000 CF of usable storage. Alternatively, the dome system can be provided with Laidig’s concrete “super-silos”. Super silos are available up to 150’ in diameter by 100’ high (material height), and provide up to 1,000,000 CF in a single silo.

X-Traktor - Model 1033 & 1566 - Silo Unloader Reclaim System

Meet the “X-Traktor.” The next generation of Laidig reclaimers.  These large-diameter, rugged machines have been designed from the ground-up to excel in the harshest material handling conditions. It has been engineered specifically for industrial applications requiring reclamation of materials with poor flow characteristics or other properties which make the material difficult to handle. Accommodating storage structures of up to 150` (46m) in diameter, the X-Traktor is one of the largest industrial reclaimers that Laidig offers. When larger delivery rate and diameters are required, the X-Traktor is best solution. Designed for continuous operation under the most challenging conditions, the X-Traktor will deliver your stored product automatically, with the push of a button.

Planetaire - Model PL433, PL443, PL833 - Silo Unloader Reclaim System

Laidig offers the Planetaire for high-volume storage and reclaim of high-density materials, while allowing total access to the equipment - even in a full silo!. The Access Beam allows for maintenance of all components whether the silo is full or empty.  Motors and reducers are located inside the Access Beam, and inspection floor plates allow access to the gearbox, auger, and cutter blades. The Planetaire is available with an electric or hydraulic driven reclaim. Coal, dense powders, and heavy or coarse granular materials are ideal candidates for the Planetaire.

Symetrix - Model SM933 - Silo Unloader Reclaim System

The Laidig Symetrix reclaimers offer superior performance and dependability for applications with high-density or abrasive materials.  Laidig’s Symetrix system is engineered to provide completely automated, near-total clean out, encouraging first-in-first-out material distribution for processing to strict quality-control standards. The Symetrix provides an access beam which spans the diameter of the storage vessel.  This beam offers complete access to all components of the Symetrix, even under a full head-height of material.  Serviceable components would include motors, gearboxes, reducers, and the auger cutter blades.  Even the entire auger can be removed from a full silo through the auger access door at the end of the beam.

Custom Control Package

Model LMI - Customized Control System

Laidig will provide a complete customized control system for your application, including the main control panel as well as the Laidig Machine Interface (LMI), which contains the programming logic to intelligently and safely control the Laidig reclaim system. Laidig’s LMI incorporates state-of-the-art PLC control systems and interface technology to dynamically control the reclaim system in variable loads environments.  The LMI provides fully automatic operation of the system, properly controlling the reclaimer rotation, reclaimer advance rate, and discharge rates, while also taking into account the dynamically-changing load conditions.  The LMI also provides manual controls for jogging and maintenance operations, and is located in close proximity to the reclaimer to allow visual and audio feedback to the operator during manual operations.
