The Lectrodryer Gas Mixing Skid is designed to blend hydrogen and natural gas into a homogeneous mix to be used as a fuel. It is engineered to work with different mixing percentages, temperatures, pressures, and flows. The unit is suitable for a Class I, Division 2, Group B environment and it complies with all applicable codes including ASME B31.12. It is also designed to have a minimum pressure drop. The standard unit features pressure relief valves, vent valves, pressure and temperature indicators, flow control valves and a helical static mixer. Piping is 304SS and has flanged connections suitable for the design conditions. Valves are pneumatically actuated. The system can be controlled by power plant DCS or local control panel with communication connections.

The BAC-50 provides total dewpoint control and guards against damage causing moisture which can lead to costly repairs, down time, and losses in efficiency. The Type BP has a closed-circuit reactivation sys-tem that makes it ideal for drying gases without con-tamination from the atmosphere. And this includes typical gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, helium, argon, and methane. The BP accomplishes this by using dual adsorbers that are heat reactivated for drying compressed air and other gases to dew-points down to –80°F, with reactivation occurring at line pressure.

The type BZ Lectrodryer is ideally suited for drying compressed air or gas. The unit is fully automatic, positive in operation and built for reliable and foolproof operation. The BZ model is a dual tower, heat reactivated solid adsorption air dryer. Normal operating range for standard units is 40-150 PSIG. Units for 300 PSIG and higher working pressures are available.

Due to the cryogenic nature of CO2, this process historically has taken 4 to 12 hours depending on the site. The GFD is proven to purge most generator capacities in 20 to 40 minutes by preventing lines from clogging with dry ice due to the expansion of the CO2. The GFD helps reduce the time and cost involved during scheduled and forced outages by allowing the generator to be purged and brought back online much more rapidly. This system is also used as a risk mitigation tool to evacuate hydrogen during dangerous upset conditions.

The Lectrodryer Hydrogen Control Cabinet monitors the gas in Hydrogen-Cooled Generators to enhance efficiency and safety. Dual Gas Purity analyzers monitor the purity of the generator gas. Pressure and Differential Pressure Indicators continuously monitor the Case Pressure and Fan Differential Pressure in the Generator. Flow is monitored and controlled. The unique flexibility of this design allows for the equipment to be tailored to meet the specific needs of any plant.
