Combustion air is the air that is used to actually burn the fuel. Without combustion air, which is normally forced into the furnace, combustion is impossible. The efficient operation of today’s power plant hinges largely upon accurate and repeatable measurement and control of various air inputs to the boiler such as Primary coal mills, Secondary air, Overfire air, individual burners and flue-gas re-circulations air.
Many industrial processes are emitting flue (stack ) gases such as steel & power plants, textile, food processing, pharmaceutical productions, petrochemical processing and more. In the past, flue gas flow measurement was un-reliable, non-repeatable, high maintenance prone & expensive.
