Kidd Farm Machinery manufacture SediMeter instrument for sediment monitoring and for measuring siltation from sediment spill around dredging site. The SediMeter is a unique and patented instrument for measuring sediment transport related properties in situ on the bottoms of the sea, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, and canals. It is especially designed for monitoring sediment pollution, siltation. The company also offers consulting services and equipment renting.
Lindorm, Inc. was established in 2006 in Miami, Florida, to develop the next generation SediMeters.
The SediMeter was invented and patented by the founder of Lindorm, Dr. Ulf Erlingsson. From a bulky instrument with a 15 cm long sensor, it has developed into a slim tube with a 35 cm long sensor, capable of logging 20 x 16,384 measurements, or being used in real-time monitoring of siltation, sediment accumulation, erosion, near-bed turbidity, bedload transport, and sedimentary processes such as anoxic conditions below the bottom. The instrument and related services and custom monitoring solutions are available from Lindorm, Inc.
