Lithion Technologies

Lithion Technologies has developed a sustainable, robust, and cost-effective solution to produce strategic materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and non-compliant components. These batteries are found in everyday items such as electric cars, rechargeable tools, and electronic equipment. Our technologies enable the recovery of up to 95 of the components of these batteries so that they can be reused to make new ones. We offer a concrete way to close the loop on battery life-cycle by creating a secondary source of strategic materials (lithium, nickel, cobalt). Lithion Technologies aims for a worldwide deployment of its technology, which began with the construction of a pilot plant in 2019, and continues today with the construction of our first commercial critical minerals extraction plant near Montreal, Canada. Lithion`s processes drastically reduce the ecological debt of lithium-ion batteries and electric vehicles. We make the energy transition truly sustainable!
