LOVATO was established in 1972 by Mr Luigino Lovato himself, with the aim of producing special copper and steel piping for boiler makers. As the customers continued to require technically advanced solutions, LOVATO invested in specialist machinery for the cutting, bending, end forming and threading of the pipes. In this way, production of traditional pipe fitting systems was revolutionised in a short space of time.
More new technology, (a laser cutter and other special machines), was introduced a bit later. The result of this was that the company was able to supply its own customers with a further range of products, such as manifolds, gas flanges, autoclave manifolds and steel flanges. In 1990 further investment was made and a new range of innovative products was introduced, products such as: zone distributors and distribution systems for central heating plants for traditional, underfloor or solar central heating systems.
All these changes meant that LOVATO had to be re-structured to create space for the design, production and sale of its own products. It has made great steps forward, from its subcontractor status to being an independent company in its own right, set in the market of dealers and system producers.
