Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction
The classic technology for the reduction of NOx emissions is applied within the temperature range of 900°C to 1050°C of the flue gas. Dual compound lances are used to inject aqueous ammonia or urea solution within the ideal flue gas temperature window reducing NOx emissions. The reactant volume is adapted to the load condition and continuously regulated by the mixing and metering module. The processing of the reactant handling systems (e.g. pump groups, storage tanks, metering and dosing equipment, etc) is designed by M.A.L according to client’s specifications.
Selective Catalytic Reduction for Power Plants and Stationary Diesel
The catalyst enables the reaction of the reduction agent with the NOx formations of the flue gas already at lower flue gas temperatures (typically 200- 450°C). To ensure a homogeneous distribution of the reductant in the flue gas, the agent is injected via an ammonia injection grid. Apart from the reductant supply, M.A.L. Environmental Technology provides various types of ammonia vaporizers, dilution and seal air fans as well as ammonia flow control units. With the help of these systems, outstanding reduction rates and a low ammonia slip can be achieved.
ANCR + SCR - Hybrid NOx Reduction System
The hybrid system is a combination of the ANCR® system with a catalytic system. Most of NOx emissions are reduced with the ANCR® system. The remaining NOx reduction takes place with a controlled NH3 injection in front of the catalyzer. The key advantage of this system configuration is a highly effective mode of operation combined with significantly smaller catalyst volume. (compared to classic SCR systems). This innovative technology is especially used for industries with very high initial NOx emissions (raw gas NOx of 2000mg NOx/ nm3, for example). The plants can be operated with ammonium hydroxide or urea solution.
