Model SST-mAX - XRF Spectrometer X-ray Tubes
The SST-mAX incorporates PANalytical"s groundbreaking ZETA Technology. This provides exceptional system performance by eliminating classical tungsten cathode evaporation, the major contributor to instrument drift. Conventional X-ray tubes suffer tungsten evaporation from the cathode filament, causing deposits on the inside of the tube"s beryllium window. Instrument drift, decreased intensities and longer counting times are the result, particularly for light-element analysis. The ZETA Technology in SST-mAX eliminates these effects and ensures that initial performance is maintained throughout an XRF spectrometer"s lifetime.
