The Corporate Strategy Function is responsible for the business and strategic planning activities of Marafiq which have a direct impact on the provision of efficient and reliable utility services to the customers of both the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu while ensuring long term financial viability of Marafiq.Facilities Planning Department (FPD)
The Facilities Planning Department is responsible to plan for facilities to support sustained supply of utilities to customers in time with reliability, quality and with optimum cost. Facilities Planning Team comprises professionals and specialists in power systems, water systems, infra-structure planning, cost engineering, financial analysis and Capex coordination.Demand Forecasting and Business Planning Department
To enjoy lasting success, strategic business planning process in Marafiq aims at meeting customers demand and achieving customer satisfaction by: Improving the quality of collective thinking for business planning. Building a shared understanding in the organization at all levels in Marafiq to for strategic planning. Forecasting 10 years Rolling Demand of customer’s for utilities services. Develop 5 years Rolling Business Plan Every Year to ensure business continuity and sustainability.Tariff & Regulatory Department (T&RD)
The Department is assigned with the strategic task of regularly analyzing the cost of service of the provision of utility services and interfacing with the Regulatory Bodies. Its main functions include: Assessment of revenue requirements for all the service lines of the company. Revenue planning for the operating and business plan. Determination of transfer prices for utility consumption of internal sales. Maintaining a data-bank for the management and regulatory purposes. Marafiq focal point for dealing with ECRA and other regulators.Corporate Performance Department (CPD)
The Department is assigned with the following responsibilities: Ensure the translation of Marafiq vision, mission and strategic objectives into quantifiable result areas and the development of action plans/initiatives to achieve objectives. Manage a performance measurement process as a key approach to driving business strategies. Develop a business risk identification, evaluation and management/ mitigation system. Ensure that the needs of all Marafiq stakeholder groups are recognized within the performance measures and action plans/initiatives that are developed. Continually monitor internal performance with regard to quantity, cost and reliability of products and services delivered by Marafiq.
