Testing Systems
MTI - Universal Testing Machine Systems
MTI manufactures Universal Testing Machine systems in standard force capacities from 1,000 pounds to 100,000 pounds. All MTI systems incorporate our powerful Intel Core i5 Pentium based Data Acquisition/Analysis/Control System as an integrated component, resulting in a totally automated materials testing system. All load frames are fabricated to exact tolerances and utilize precision ball screw drives, ground linear guide rods and bearings, and high-strength steel construction to insure accurate and precise velocity control and positioning capability. Crosshead velocity is computer controlled and is nearly infinitely variable over the entire speed range of the system.
MTI - Standard Benchtop Universal Testing Systems
All MTI Bench-Top Systems are supplied with our powerful Intel Core i5 Pentium based Data Acquisition/Analysis/Control System to provide an integrated automated materials testing system. Force and displacement and strain measurements are automatic. MTI AD-24 automatic 24-bit Force and Strain Signal Processors are supplied with each system. The two AD-24`s provide data accuracy and measurement resolution approaching one part in one hundred thousand in a fully automatic mode of operation. The load frame crosshead displacement measurement is also automatic, with resolution of 0.00005 inches for all tests.
MTI - Mid-Force Range Universal Testing Systems
All MTI Mid-Force universal testing systems are supplied with our powerful Intel Core i5 Pentium based Data Acquisition/Analysis/Control System. A universal load cell, universal joint and fixture linkages are provided.
MTI - High-Force Range Universal Testing Systems
All MTI High-Force universal testing systems are supplied with our powerful Intel Core i5 Pentium based Data Acquisition/Analysis/Control System. Force and displacement and strain are automatically measured, displayed and reported. MTI automatic 24-bit Force and Strain Signal Processors are supplied with each system, resulting in data accuracy and measurement resolution approaching one part in one hundred thousand in a fully automatic mode of operation. The load frame crosshead displacement measurement is also automatic, with resolution of 0.00005 inches for all tests.
Test Fixtures & Accessories
MTI - Tensile Wedge Grips
Probably the most commonly required test fixture is the tensile grip. MTI offers `Stationary Jaw` wedge grips which means that the grip body moves vertically to open and close the wedge jaw inserts that remain stationary relative to the sample. The wedge inserts open and close laterally and do not impart undesired tensile or compression forces to the specimen while attaching the grip. The wedge angle limits the opening range, and thus the sample thickness, so various interchangeable inserts are offered to accommodate a wide range of specimen thickness.
