Activated carbon filters are designed for the removal of vapors and odours which are present within the air or gas flow. The activated carbon filter adsorbs vapors and binds them to the surface of the activated carbon. The zero odour level is reached by contacting the air through a bed of activated carbon in an adsorber. The carbon bed is sufficiently deep to assure complete odour removal at the nominal working point, but also at unexpected or seasonal peak concentrations. The contact time between the air and activated carbon should be between 2-4 seconds. This technology prevents damage to health and discomfort caused by malodor.
