Menard Vibro - Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC)

The Controlled Modulus Columns (CMC) technique is used to improve the soil characteristics of a compressible soil layer on a global scale and to reduce its compressibility by use of semi-rigid soil reinforcement columns. Unlike a piling solution which is designed to support the entire load of the structure on the piles, the objective of a CMC solution is to increase the stiffness of the soil mass to globally reduce both total and differential settlements by distributing the load of the structure between the soils and the CMCs.

Menard Vibro - Dynamic Compaction Systems

The Dynamic compaction technique achieved deep ground densification using the dynamic effects of high energy impacts resulting from the drop of large pounders. The technique was invented and developed by Mr. Louis MENARD. Since the late 60’s, the MENARD Company has applied this technique to thousands of sites for different types of structures and soil conditions (port and airport platforms, heavy storage, buildings and landfills).

Menard Vibro - Vibro-Replacement – Stone Columns (Vr)

Stone columns are formed by inserting a vibratory probe to incorporate granular material into the ground and create vertical inclusions with high stiffness, shear strength and draining characteristics.

Menard Vibro - Vertical Drains (VD)

The construction of a new embankment or structure induces additional stresses on the ground that can create unacceptable long term residual settlements during the life of the structure or highway. A preloading program can be designed to induce these settlements in an accelerated time frame and therefore minimize the long term residual settlement to within acceptable limits for the structure.
