A regionally rooted family business that is globally networked

At MENNEKES, being rooted in the region and transnationality work hand in glove: we are an independent medium-sized company that has been family-owned for well over 80 years. Managed by the third family generation, MENNEKES is committed to its home in the Sauerland region and Germany as its business location. Kirchundem/Sauerland has been MENNEKES headquarters ever since the business was founded in 1935. A second location in Sehmatal-Neudorf/Erzgebirge in Saxony was opened in 1991. Our in-house tool making, MIDENA Elektrowerkzeugbau GmbH, has been operating in Lennestadt in the Sauerland region since 2000. MENNEKES’ products meet the “Made in Germany” quality standard. Our solutions are sold in more than 90 countries and our network of subsidiaries, sales offices and representations spans from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East to North and South America.

In-house production that meets rigorous requirements for sustainability and quality

In-house product development and design ensure that our products meet our requirements for quality. Product development, toolmaking, plastic mold manufacture, contact part production, series production and custom assembly as well as a large logistics center on a square area of 5500 meters are all part of our corporate group. We rely on cutting-edge machinery, operated by skilled workers, using top-notch raw materials.

Protecting the environment and preserving natural resources are fundamental goals of MENNEKES. Our entire company is geared towards sustainability; we are practicing sustainable methods and our energy and environmental management systems are certified accordingly. A central energy system is used to connect the company’s buildings. Cold and heat accumulators ensure that the ambient temperatures at night and the waste heat from machinery and systems are recovered to be used for heating or cooling office facilities and floors.

With solutions from MENNEKES, durable products are at hand whose high quality is ensured by all products being thoroughly put through their paces in our testing lab – using high-tech measurement and testing methods in accordance with applicable standards. The laboratory is accredited by the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE).
