Seismic- Transmitters

Seismic Velocity Transmitters

The Metrix ST5484E is a self-contained, loop-powered seismic velocity transmitter that incorporates a piezo-electric accelerometer, signal integrator, RMS peak detector, and 4-20 mA signal conditioner into a single, robust package.  The transmitter can be mounted directly on the machine case or bearing housing without need of any intervening signal conditioning equipment.  Its 4-20 mA output signal is compatible with most industrial process control instrumentation such as PLCs, DCSs, and SCADA systems, allowing trending and/or alarming capabilities for a simple, economical vibration monitoring solution.  The transmitter is also available in a 4-wire version where the extra two conductors provide direct access to the raw acceleration signal, facilitating easy connection to portable data collectors and analyzers.

Switches- Mechanical

Vibration Switch

Metrix mechanical vibration switch is designed to meet all requirements in a single, affordable package. It provides vibration protection for low to medium speed machinery. An inertia sensitive mechanism activates a snap-action switch with SPDT output contacts if the vibration exceeds an adjustable setpoint. The 5550 mechanical vibration switch contacts can be used to activate an alarm or initiate equipment shutdown. The housing is weatherproof with an optional hazardous area rating. Electrical (remote) reset with start-up time delay and a second set of SPDT output contacts to accommodate DPDT needs (e.g. separate trip and trip light circuits) are available. The 5550G uses identical internal mechanisms, but carries an IECEX rating ideal for IIC gas group applications. Product Aprox. Weight: 1.8 kg (4 lbs)

Shakers

Deluxe - Hardy Shaker

This top-of-the-line Hardy shaker includes more operational functions. In manual mode, the vibration test level and test frequency can be set from 10 Hz to 10,000 Hz. In sensitivity mode, the HI 803 not only vibrates the transducer being tested, but also measures its output and calculates its output sensitivity. A built-in display reads the output sensitivity, which can be stored in memory. Complete testing sequences and data can be stored in memory for each tested sensor, and a built-in printer logs data on the spot or stores it for later. An RS232 port and data transfer program are standard, and ASCI II test data files are easily transferred to a computer.

Portable- Vibration Meters

Portable Vibration Meter

Monitor vibration on your machines with this compact and simple to operate vibration meter. This intrinsically safe meter is ideal for obtaining spot measurements of machine vibration. Pressing the ON button activates the unit. A vibration reading is then obtained by simply holding the probe tip against the machine and observing the reading on the LCD indicator. Comparisons to a vibration severity chart indicates acceptance conditions.

Vibra-Check - Vibration Meter

The economical and compact Vibra-Check™ Vibration Meter is an ideal tool for obtaining spot measurements of machinery vibration. All three useful measurements are possible. Displacement, velocity, and acceleration modes allow a user to perform basic vibration analysis. The robust high temperature accelerometer sensor has a removable magnetic mounting base for attachment of a stinger. The sensor is internally protected against thermal shock, electrical noise and amplitude overload. The handy carrying pouch keeps the meter out of the way, yet ready for use. When it’s time to take a reading, simply place the accelerometer on your machine and tilt the pouch up to view display.
The VM3800 has all the basic features of the VM2800 plus storage measurement capability. Product Aprox. Weight: 300 g (10.6 oz)

Proximity- Digital Proximity System

3-Wire Driver

The Metrix MX2033 combines the performance of a fully API 670-compliant eddy-current proximity measurement system with the flexibility of digital configurability. For the first time, users can configure their transducer system in the field using a custom field-generated curve as well as factory pre-configured calibrations for over 20 target materials,  a variety of probe tip diameters, manufacturers, extension cable lengths, and linear ranges. Product aprox. weight: 247 g (8.7 oz)

Switches- Electronic

Economical Switch

The electronic switch utilizes a solid state crystal accelerometer which provides an electrical output when it is deformed by the vibration forces. The output is electronically converted to a signal proportional to velocity. This signal is compared with a preset limit and triggers a solid state relay if the limit is exceeded. There are no moving parts in the 440 vibration switches except when configured with mechanical relays.

Seismic- Sensors

General Purpose Accelerometer

General purpose accelerometer that meets API 670 requirements.  Designed for use on a wide variety of machine types with its broad frequency response of 0.5 to 10 kHz (+/- 3dB), 50g range, and mounted resonance of 13 kHz. A built-in amplifier provides an industry-standard 100mV/g low-impedance, constant-current output that is compatible with vibration monitoring systems, electronic switches, and 4-20mA signal conditioners. The sensor consists of a temperature-stabilized piezo-electric core and an amplifier, packaged together in a 316 stainless steel case that is electrically isolated from the sensing circuit. A choice of mounting studs is available.  Consult the product datasheet for available hazardous area approvals.

Proximity Vibration Monitoring Equipment - Digital Proximity System

Metrix - Proximity Transmitter for Vibration and Position Monitoring

The Metrix MX2034 4-20 mA Proximity Transmitter offers versatile configurability for a range of industrial monitoring applications. It is designed for use in speed measurements, radial vibration, and axial position, conforming to API 670 standards. Introduced with digital configurability enhancements since 2018, the MX2034 enables precise monitoring and adaptability, accommodating various probe tip diameters and cable lengths. It facilitates integration with control systems like PLC and SCADA, providing early warnings for machine condition changes. Notably, it supports set-up flexibility with its ability to adjust the probe type, system length, and target materials in the field. The transmitter minimizes cross-talk between adjacent probes, configures dynamic signal polarity, and suppresses external electrical interference. With a 4-pin connector, it extends dynamic signal outputs up to 100 meters, making it a significant asset for enhancing proximity transmitter systems.
