MOL is a leading manufacturer of injected moulded and extruded elastomer sealing systems and rubber profiles. With our high-quality and custom-made product solutions covering a wide range of industry sectors we make a distinct impression as a strong partner. We are original equipment manufacturers for many national and international pipe manufacturers. Our seals are found in virtually every building in Germany. For example you also find them in property drainage systems or in the sanitary facilities. Our products have been used for sealing and connecting pipes for almost forty years. Today our products are also in demand around the world because our customers are located on all continents. Well-known construction projects utilise our flexible seals, for example in civil and underground engineering, in the sanitary industry, and in structural engineering which uses sealing profiles in complex facade systems.
Our range of services covers everything from consultation to development, tool manufacture, production and quality monitoring of the entire process chain. We put special emphasis on the reliability and quality of our products. Depending on the production process, sustainable test routines are carried out and guarantee constant quality and a first-class product for our customers - everything from a single source.
Our motto ‘get flexibility’ is not only about flexible products, but also is an expression of mutual development together with the customer that leads to a successful and sustainable partnership that results from flexibility and commitment.
Natural rubber is the basis of success
Unlike thermoplastics, rubber is a molecularly networked material that guarantees permanent elasticity. In addition to natural rubber, synthetic rubber also plays an ever increasing role in the production of rubber.
For our products we mainly use synthetic rubber, e.g. SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber), which is characterised by good resistance to chemicals and is less sensitive to weathering than natural rubber. BR retains its shape and elasticity for many years and is used over a temperature range of -25° to + 95°C. Furthermore we also use EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber) as a raw material with even greater weathering resistance and is able to withstand temperatures of up to +120°C.
Sustainable development of our production location in Vechta, Germany
We have developed into a highly modern production plant since the very early days when just two simple rubber presses were in operation. Today we work with an automated production that comprises more than 50 modern injection moulding machines (250 to 1000 tonnes of clamping force) and 4 extrusion lines (salt bath vulcanisation + UHF microwave vulcanisation).
