About Us
The company mütek Systemtechnik - Hartmut Müller GmbH is a family business based in Filderstadt near Stuttgart. The company was founded in 1993 by Managing Director Hartmut Müller. Since then, mütek has been concentrating on the topics of volume reduction and energy production from a wide range of different materials. The vision of mütek Systemtechnik is the CO-neutral replacement of heating oil and gas by renewable energies. The efficient and sensible use of bioenergy is the claim.
Traditionally, wood processing companies from the Stuttgart region were the main customers. In the course of time, the company mütek has succeeded, through continuous further development and adjustments of our high-quality machines and systems, to produce customized solutions for various materials for crafts companies as well as bigger industrial companies. After joining of the two sons Markus Müller (Diploma in Economics) and Michael Müller (Bachelor of Science) in the years 2009 and 2012, the philosophy of the company is characterized more than ever by sustainable management.
Mütek Systemtechnik's core philosophy is placing the customer requirements first. Mütek is looking for the best solution and adapts the machine technology to the specific customer requirements. In the large demonstration show room several briquetting presses, dust collectors as well as shredding and packing machines are available for extensive tests with the customer material. Customer orientation, great flexibility and short decision-making are the great strength of the company mütek. The employees make the difference. The success of the company mütek is based on the know-how, the commitment, the professionalism and the spirit of invention of each individual employee.
Research
We have close research collaborations with the Universities of Hohenheim, Kassel and Rottenburg. Every year, mütek has the opportunity to meet students and professors from the Universities of Hohenheim and Rottenburg to find out about current technological developments in the area of shredding, briquetting and combustion. A close research collaboration was agreed on in which mütek would support the students with know-how and technology, while the students would have to make their research results and theoretical knowledge available 'at the research border'.
At these mütek events, the students will be informed about the topics 'biomass crushing and biomass compaction'. The shredding technology, the briquetting technology and also the combustion technology (especially the materials Miscanthus, straw and wood) are explained. After a theoretical introduction, the students will be shown the differences in the size of wood and straw by means of various tests. A practical demonstration shows how wood, straw and miscanthus can be crushed and subsequently processed without further development of dust into briquettes. In addition, the company's own heating system demonstrates how wood briquettes are automatically be burnt in wood-chip boilers.
In addition to these very interesting cooperation days, some students also use the opportunity to write their final thesis at mütek. For example, the energetic use of rice streams in the Philippines or the briquetting of foliage for energy production were studied extensively by students. In addition, a student has dealt with wear reduction by material screening. Another student has dealt with the development of a marketing concept.
