Musol - Model MPOX 50 - Direct Injection for Odor Control
The MPOX 50 Direct Injection system is a specialized technology designed to control odors in sludge processing applications. Utilizing a proprietary formulation, MPOX 50 is directly injected into the sludge feed line before processes such as dewatering or thickening. The formulation targets and reacts specifically with odor-causing compounds including hydrogen sulphide, dimethyl sulphide, and mercaptans. This targeted chemical reaction is initiated almost instantaneously upon injection, leading to immediate elimination of sludge-related odors. Unlike traditional oxidizing agents like potassium permanganate that may react with various compounds due to high reactivity, MPOX 50 exhibits low reactivity and exclusively interacts with reduced sulphides. This specificity allows for efficient odor control at low dosage rates, optimizing both the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of odor management strategies in industrial settings.
Musol - Model MPOX Active - Sewer Septicity Control
MPOX Active is engineered to enhance the management of sewer systems by providing a sophisticated approach to controlling septicity. This product operates by selectively targeting hydrogen sulphide and other reduced sulphide compounds at the moment of formation. Its innovative design allows it to remain non-reactive until sulphide production is imminent, thus creating a chemical reservoir that mitigates fluctuations in sulphide levels. MPOX Active can be tailored to provide long-lasting deodorization, resulting in significantly lower dosing requirements. In field trials, MPOX Active achieved a 90% reduction in chemical usage and a 79% decrease in hydrogen sulphide concentrations, leading to a 25% cost reduction compared to calcium nitrate. Additionally, the system simplifies equipment needs for dosing, offering logistical advantages in terms of storage and delivery requirements.
Musol - Model MPOX TR - Odour Control During Effluent Transportation System
May be applied during discharge to site or when transferring wastewater / sludge to tanker for transportation from site. MPOX TR injected into coupling attached to the transfer hose. A chemical reaction takes place as soon as the chemical is added and the sludge is immediately de-odorised. Cost may be recovered from haulage company.
MuSol - Model GEL - Slow Release Odour Control Gel
MuSol GEL is a slow releasing product allowing odours to be suppressed over a long period of time. The gel is regenerated with the addition of a small amount of water including rain water in outside applications. The gel can be formulated for specific odour applications.

MuSol - Model MNA - Versatile Odor Neutralizing Agent for Various Industries
MuSol MNA serves as a highly adaptable and effective neutralizing agent targeting malodorous emissions in environments such as sewage treatment and storage facilities, sanitary landfills, slaughterhouses, and other locations where organic decomposition occurs. The product is engineered for application through spray systems or direct injection into effluent systems, thus efficiently eliminating odors. MuSol MNA operates via five mechanisms: pairing, oxidation, adsorption, dissolving, and combination, transforming odor molecules into odorless compounds. The formulation is non-toxic, food-grade, biodegradable, and non-corrosive, boasting versatility with availability in ten fragrances. Its application spans diverse sectors including landfill sites, waste reception facilities, and effluent treatment plants, ensuring effective odor control. The product effectively breaks down and eradicates odors instead of masking them. A case study involving a sludge storage facility showed successful odor control with no resident complaints ensuing the implementation of a spray system.
Equipment
MuSol - Bulk Storage System
MuSol offers a range of bulk storage options for their products. Storage tanks are available from 1,000 litre to 15,000 litre and all have an integrated bunding system that has a tank within a tank for extra safety. Tank Filling pipe work along with the dosing pumps are housed in an external bunded cabinet to contain any spills. Dose lines are fully contained in a dual pipe arrangement, so any leaks are contained within the pipe work.
Musol - Automated Atmospheric Gas Control System
Musol Have developed a system whereby atmospheric gas is analysed. The gas levels are converted into a signal that can be sent to MPOX dosing pumps. Depending on the level of gas in the atmosphere the dose pumps will increase or decrease the flow of MPOX so giving the optimum cost of treatment.
Musol - Dissolved Hydrogen Sulphide Detection Unit
Dissolved hydrogen sulphide is converted to sulphuric acid under moist environments. The sulphuric acid has then the ability to corrode concrete especially in the liners of sewer systems. To minimise this damage strict discharge limits are set on the levels of sulphide in effluent discharges with heavy fines for breaking these limits.
Musol - Model MNA - Spray Systems
The MNA range of neutralisers work by reacting with odour molecules rather than masking the smell. The concentrated product is made into a dilute solution via the MuSol in line mixing system and then atomised via high pressure nozzles.
