Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA)
Since 1981, the Northeast Resource Recovery Association (NRRA) a FIRST-IN-THE-NATION , member driven, non-profit recycling cooperative*, has been a source of educational, technical and marketing assistance in the areas of waste reduction and recycling. Unlike traditional brokers, NRRA does not charge a costly fee to members to market their recyclables. Instead, a minimum Co-op fee is collected to reinvest into recycling and solid waste services for members. The NRRA’s cooperative marketing programs have received national recognition for establishing grassroots recycling markets, with competitive pricing, which enables communities, businesses, small or large, to manage their own recycling programs. The NRRA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Co-op Membership currently includes over 400 municipalities, individuals, and businesses throughout greater New England.
