Optical 3D Profilometer System
NOVACAMTM OPTICAL 3D PROFILOMETERTM system is fiber-based and provides: Micron-precision 3D measurements: Dimensional geometry – GD&T parameters, Roughness measurement, Defect detection – cracks, scratches, Thickness measurement of semi-transparent materials. Option to scan even hard-to-reach surfaces: Side-looking probe scans inside bore IDs and other tight spaces, forward-looking probe is also available. Fiber-based probes that are easy to integrate with precision stages, third-party CMMs, CNC machines, or robots to support high-volume continuous flow manufacturing. Fully configurable automated inspection. Notably the same probe can be used to measure dimensions, roughness, defects, and/or thickness.
Tubeinspect System
NOVACAMTM TUBEINSPECTTM system is a modular, non-contact optical measurement system that provides micron-precision 3D measurements of tube, cylinder or barrel interiors and exteriors. Its small-diameter side-looking probe reaches inside tubes to acquire their complete inside geometry. Can measure every dimensional detail of tube inside diameter (ID) and outside diameter (OD), including undercuts, chamfers, threads, rifling, O-ring grooves, splines, lands, and edge breaks. Enables fully configurable automated inspection. Can measure dimensional or surface defects such as porosities, cracks, and scratches. Can measure dimensions, roughness as well as thickness of semi-transparent coatings.

Microcam - Model 3D/4D Interferometer - High-Precision Non-Contact Surface & Thickness Measurements
As a core component of any NOVACAMTM 3D metrology system, the MICROCAMTM-3D/4D interferometer provides light source to optical scanning probes and carries out the optical and electronic processing of measurements. Novacam interferometers MICROCAM-3D and MICROCAM-4D offer: Micron-precision 3D measurements – roughness, geometry (GD&T parameters), thickness, vibration, defects. Fast acquisition rate of up to 100 kHz, i.e., 100,000 3D point measurements per second. Measurements not affected by ambient lighting, air perturbation, or cutting of the beam. Modularity and versatility of deployment, with fiber based optical probes that may be integrated on motion stages, robots, gantrys, CMMs, and CNCs. Many additional advantages offered by the underlying technology, low-coherence interferometry.
CMMs
Non-Contact CMM Systems
NOVACAMTM non-contact CMMTM (Coordinate measuring machine) systems offer superior performance both in the laboratory and on the production floor. They provide: High precision measurements (better than 1 µm). High-speed acquisition (2,100 to 100,000 3D point measurements per second). Simultaneous dimensional and surface inspection. Small non-contact fiber-based probes (as small as 0.5 mm in diameter) for reaching inside tight spaces. Automation by teaching with joystick. The CMMs are equipped with robust and compact fiber based probes, and can therefore easily inspect inside tight spaces and even in hostile environments. The CMMs are configured in size, speed and scanning capabilities for the user’s needs and offer online integration capability, small footprint and true portability. Depending on the workpiece, ultra-portable CMM inspection stations weighing 20 lbs (10 kg) are available.
