Whether you need a small coaster, or a massive capesize vessel, a single 20’ container, or a full tanker shipment, Oxbow’s ocean freight team has a wealth of world-wide knowledge and experience to move cargo. Supported by a panel of respected international shipbrokers, Oxbow can source ocean freight needs around the globe 24 hours a day. Our current cargo book is approaching 10 million tons and more than 500 vessels per year. We utilize many freight coverage options including COA’s, time charters and standard voyage charters.

Oxbow ships more than 2 million tons annually of petcoke, coal, gypsum, sulphur, and furnace coke on inland and coastal waterways throughout Asia, North America and Europe. By working directly with all the major barge lines, we are able to provide our customers with extensive industry knowledge, resources, and competitive rates due to our considerable market position.

The Oxbow terminal is located at Pier G, Port of Long Beach. This dock consists of six enclosed and environmentally sensitive petroleum coke and coal storage facilities. Pier G has a capacity of 733,000 tons and an annual throughput of over 7,000,000 tons. These facilities support the receipt, storage and vessel loading of coal and petroleum coke sold for export. Our operations are managed by a well-seasoned professional staff of more than 45 direct employees and several third party support companies.

Our Distribution Department can respond to any storage, transshipment, screening, washing, drying, bagging, technical service and inventory management needs. We use major sea-going and inland terminals to store coal and solid fuel products. This allows us to utilize the best facilities to grade, screen, clean and improve the product quality. Oxbow provides a tailor-made product with the best technical and logistical support, as well as advice on coal evaluation and blend studies.
