Ozone (O3) is a form is oxygen (O2) that consists of three oxygen atoms. When ozone comes in contact with contaminants, such as bacteria and pathogens, it causes an oxidation reaction that eliminates the contaminants, and breaks the ozone down into two oxygen molecules. This reaction is what makes ozone a safe and effective disinfectant.
For over 100 years, ozone generation has been used as a disinfectant in many industries, such as food production, water treatment, and many more. Over time, ozone generation has shown that it is an improvement to many processes that conventionally use harsh chemicals as disinfectants. This is because of the extreme cost savings, and the many health benefits of using ozone in place of chemicals, such as chlorine.

For over 15 years, we have increased our knowledge of ozone applications which makes us well suited to understand the complexity of integrating ozone into your process. Implementing ozone can be very problematic, as you have probably heard, or experienced first hand. Our years of experience has resulted in significant innovations to our equipment that ensure long-term reliability. We supply a range of products from an ozone compatible check valve to large ozone injection trailers for groundwater treatment.
Our Philosophy
The person who contacts us for the first time is very curious about ozone, and has a lot of questions. We start by taking small steps to ensure you are confident ozone will work for you. The analogy is to crawl, walk then run. Here is how it works:
If you feel ozone might work to reduce the contaminants in your wastewater, we ask several questions to make sure that ozone can work at your facility. Your process must meet certain criteria before ozone can be considered as a viable solution.
If we feel that ozone can be a solution, we then request a sample (3-5 gallons) of your wastewater to be shipped to us. We test it in our ozonology lab to ensure we can attain the results you require. We also do cost analysis to ensure ozone will be a cost-effective solution. We then provide a pilot skid to treat between 2-10 GPM of wastewater flow rate at your facility. Only after you have seen the results and verified the contaminant reduction, will we provide a quote for a full-scale system.
This method just makes sense as it ensures you are convinced that ozone works in each stage of the process.
