Every structure, from a building to a roadway or a water tank, requires a stable foundation for support and long-term stability. Engineering projects range from simple and straight forward to very complex.Pennoni’s Geotechnical staff experience spans more than three decades and includes degreed as well as licensed engineers and geologists.  Our technical capabilities include but are not limited to shallow foundations, deep foundation design, ground modifications, the design of mechanically stabilized earth walls, reinforced earth embankments, the design of preloading schemes to minimize post-construction settlement and pavement analysis and design, dredge operations, disposal facility design, special drilling, beach front erosion replenishment design, and waterfront structure design.

Pennoni Associates` testing laboratories are dedicated to the research, analysis and testing of construction materials for more than 500 public and private clients in providing a variety of tests in accordance ASTM, AWWA and AASHTO standards.  Testing covers a wide range of construction materials, including concrete products, cement, asphalt, aggregate, soils, asphalt, masonry products, filter media and pozzolans and other construction materials related analysis.

Pennoni Associates’ MEP Engineering Technology is comprised of highly experienced, dedicated electrical and mechanical engineers and designers including several LEED accredited professionals.  Services include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems.   Pennoni`s design approach often begins with studies that identify the optimal systems that best address the client`s goals, budget and schedule.  The design process involves the development of practical and constructible plans and specifications.  During this process, we communicate effectively with the architect and owner, and through their feedback we arrive at the desired result within the required schedule and budget.
