Why is it a better Technology? Fast de-pressurization of bed during regeneration may cause the bed to fluidize, crushing the molecular sieve beads. The MolSieve bed offered by Praj is designed for gentle movement, thus ensuring longer desiccant life. Depending on the requirement, Praj can supply skid mounted units for smaller capacities which are easy to install. There are two modules available for recovering the alcohol in the regeneration stream.

While wastewater / effluent treatment systems form the tail end of the process, PRAJ`s technology offering is concerned with this factor right at the beginning of the project. Each technology is guided by environmental concerns of individual regions. Distilleries are also looking to generate a revenue stream from such investments. To that end, a basket of technology is available which forms an integral part of the entire plant.

The most important process in wort production is mashing which aims to maximize extraction of wort. Quantity as well as quality of extract are both important performance measures of the mashing process. Apart from the ingredients used, parameters like temperatures, optimum level of Chemical & bio-chemical conversions, effective mixing with proper agitator design, vessel wall temperatures, accurate process control and number of other factors have equal impact on quality of wort produced and finally on the quality of beer. The mash kettle is specially designed to handle varying composition of malt and different mashing programs.

The final beer quality and the overall plant output significantly depends on the Lauter Tun performance. And that`s the reason we call it the Heart of the Brewhouse.

India`s first Mash Filter Commissioned !!! In 2006, Praj entered into an association with Meura, Belgium, world leaders in mash filtration technology to offer high efficiency Mash filters in India and subcontinent. The Meura range can be preferred choice for breweries with high capacities upward of 0.5 million hlpa. Praj recently supplied and commissioned India`s first Mash Filter. The Mash filter was stabilized in a record time. Presently, Praj is executing three Mash Filter plants in different parts of India. With the mash filter Brewhouse, the brewery will have capacity upto 2.0 million hlpa. With the installation of Mash Filter in the brew house, brewers can enhance revenues through increased efficiencies and productivity with lower utility consumptions.
