Prayon - Tilting Pan Filter

The PRAYON filter is essentially made up of a series of individual filtration pans, fixed on a circular and horizontal frame which rotates around a central distributor. The pans receive the slurry to be filtered and the successive wash liquids by means of distributing troughs. Armored hoses connect the pans to a central distributor under vacuum, which allow filtrates to discharge and, after inverting of the pan, cake discharges with the help of air back-pressure.

Prayon - Dihydrate (DH) Process

The best-seller process to produce phosphoric acid. The Prayon Dihydrate (DH) Process is widely used by producers due to its reliability, simplicity of operation and the use of proven equipment (Profile). It consists in the attack of the phosphate rock under dihydrate conditions cooled by a specific flash cooler designed to limit the scaling. The square compartment reactor fitted with Prayon agitators provides the best available conditions on the market in terms of lifetime, maintenance and reaction efficiency. Dihydrate slurry is filtered on a Prayon tilting pan filter to recover the phosphoric acid. Depending on the rock processed, the ex-filter acid strength is typically 25-29% P2O5 and the typical P2O5 recovery efficiency is 94-95%.

Prayon - Phosphoric Acid

Cutting-edge process to produce phosphoric acid with a high recovery efficiency. The Prayon DA-HF Process is a modern process developed and industrially implemented by Prayon. It is an economic and efficient solution to produce phosphoric acid and valuable gypsum as a co-product. It consists in the attack of the phosphate rock under dihydrate conditions. Then, the gypsum slurry is converted to hemihydrate by the addition of sulfuric acid and steam in a specific circular reactor designed by Prayon. Hemihydrate slurry is filtered on a Prayon tilting pan filter to recover a good-quality calcium sulfate. Depending on the rock processed, the ex-filter acid strength is typically 32-34% P2O5 and the typical P2O5 recovery efficiency is 97%.
