PromoChrom AQUARIS - Model SPE - SPE Cartridges for Environmental Sample Extraction
AQUARIS™ SPE cartridges are designed for efficient extraction of both aqueous and solid environmental samples, including drinking water, wastewater, surface water, soil, tissue, and leachate. The cartridges are particularly optimized for PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) applications and are rigorously tested to comply with EPA Methods 537.1, 533, 1633, and DIN 38407-42. A notable advantage of these cartridges is the factory testing performed on PromoChrom’s own SPE-03 system, which adds assurance for labs using the same system. The cartridges undergo stringent validation for blank and flow metrics to ensure high cleanliness and quality, reducing batch-to-batch variability and ensuring seamless extraction operations. PromoChrom - SPE Mini-Disks for Environmental Sample Extraction
PromoChrom Technologies has innovated Mini-disks to capture the advantages of SPE disks, particularly in extraction speed, while addressing their limitations in solvent consumption and automation. These Mini-disks are designed with a format size similar to a 30-mm syringe filter and provide an increased cross-section area five times that of a 6-mL SPE cartridge. This larger cross-sectional area, combined with optimized sorbent properties, allows Mini-disks to operate at higher flow rates compared to traditional SPE cartridges. Their compact size facilitates seamless integration with cartridge-type SPE instruments and minimizes solvent usage. Mini-disks are also compatible with standard luer slip connections, making them suitable for automated SPE systems and vacuum manifolds. Additionally, they feature narrow particle-size distribution sorbent material composed of 25-um spherical beads, enhancing sample capacity and reducing resistance to liquid flow. The anti-clogging frit technology further improves tolerance to particulates, making these Mini-disks a robust solution for solid phase extraction applications, including the automated extraction of TCLP semi-volatiles targeting basic, neutral, and acidic compounds.
PromoChrom - Multi-Layer Frits Replacement for SPE Systems
Cartridge clogging during sample extraction can greatly decrease laboratory efficiency. PromoChrom offers multi-layer frits designed to either replace the original cartridge frit or be added on top of it. These frits are less adsorptive to highly hydrophobic analytes, such as PAHs and PCBs, thus reducing the elution volume required for collection when the original frit is replaced. The use of multi-layer frits ensures smoother extraction processes, whether an automated SPE system or a vacuum manifold is employed. PromoChrom also provides a toolkit to facilitate the replacement of the original frits, enhancing laboratory workflows and minimizing downtime caused by clogging issues. Tested on samples with significant particulate content, these frits proved effective in maintaining normal flow where traditional frits failed.
