In the KOS series the intake and delivery cylinders are connected by an S-tube. This permits the material to be pumped straight through without interruptions or mechanical obstacles and without any valves. Foreign substances in the material can therefore be conveyed without problems up to a maximum particle size of 50 % of the delivery material. The KOS pump is particularly suitable for conveying highly viscous sludges and other material with a high content of coarse solids. The KOS series finds its principle application with materials presenting the most extreme requirements, such as dewatered sludges which contain solids, oil sludges, high-viscosity solids, etc. A wide range of application-specific components and functions are available from Putzmeister. The easy installation of the pump as well as the little quantity of wear parts form a robust and low-maintenance pump working with low operational costs.

The KOV series is characterized by its straightforward design and high reliability. The suction and delivery cylinders are connected by indirectly operating balls. By omission of actively driven elements this results in a good value pump with the maximum availability. Without difficulties pasty material such as mortar or bentonite, even with a content of foreign substances up to 10mm in size can be conveyed with a pumping pressure up to 90 bar and an output of up to 60 m³/h. Depending on the specific individual demand, the balls and valve seats can be supplied in different materials and coatings. A maintenance aperture permits easy and rapid replacement of the valve balls.

The HSP series is used for pasty and highly viscous material with a low content of foreign bodies and small particle sizes (Precise sealing of the valves achieves extremely high pumping pressures. The installation principle of the hydraulic and pumping pistons corresponds to the Putzmeister KOS and KOV series. This ensures the maximum reliability and availability. Two special features of the Putzmeister installation are the easy replacement of the valves as well as the high lifetime of the wear parts. Valves and valve seatings are of highly wear-resistant steels and can be used at double-ended. This doubles their service life. Valves can be replaced easily without dismantling the delivery lines. All familiar and established Putzmeister options and variants are available for the HSP series as well.

The EKO series is designed for the most extreme pumping tasks. The open filling hoppers enable a feeding of the pump with extremely dry material with a high content of foreign substances. The hydraulic driven piston also moves materials which have been regarded as not-pumpable, such as highly dewatered paper sludges.

The shared silo discharge and pump feeding auger reduces costs and increases availability. The perfect matching of pumps and silos results in an optimized overall concept. For thick media, which cannot be ingested automatically, feeding equipments with self-cleaning augers are installed on the suction side. The conveyed material in the feed hopper is kneaded intensively by augers, mixed up and pressed into the cylinders to achieve a high volumetric efficiency factor. By this method also semisolid, earth-moist and visually dry looking materials can be conveyed into the cylinders. The design of the augers define the intensity of the mixture.
