In agricultural and horticultural applications biodegradable plastics offer you great sustainable potential. Make your plant growing tools with a biodegradable polymer and you can treat your plant and plastic waste together and save cost to separate the plastics from compost. Composites refer to materials that combine properties of multiple materials in one. In most cases these are fibers or yarns (e.g. glass, carbon) in a thermoplastic or thermoset matrix. These materials provide very high performance/weight ratio during use, but due to the material mixture there is a big challenge after use.

The typical melt properties of PBAT and PBS make it an excellent choice for processing films, foils or making adhesives. PBAT is applicable in the film blowing process and Pycnoplast knows how to do this. Both PBAT and PBS can both be easily used in cast foil processes.
