We are pioneering new opportunities in mid infrared sensing, providing rapid, accurate analysis where and whenever you need it. Visit our booth to see our robust, low cost, handheld mid IR spectrometer and our spectrometers for inline and continuous monitoring. We will also have the latest innovative developments from the 2013 winner of the Wright Williams Medal, Dr John Coates, who has used Pyreos` unique thin film pyroelectric sensors & emitter components to create new, miniature, real-time multi-channel gas analysers that dramatically rethink the size, performance & cost of such systems.

Pyreos was formed in 2007 by Jeff Wright, Carsten Giebeler and Scott Freeborn to take advantage of the growing opportunity for advanced infrared sensor array technology in gas detection, motion sensing and spectroscopy analysis.
The Company quickly acquired patents and related EP around a unique thin film pyroelectric infrared sensor technology developed by Siemens over many years in their corporate research facilities in Munich. Pyreos combined this technology with additional semiconductor process developments and packaging techniques to enable a new range of infrared sensor products.
Backed by international investment, and headquartered at the Scottish Microelectronics Centre in Edinburgh, the Company has class 10 cleanrooms for product development and pilot production as well as test facilities to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved in our products. The Company has a number of manufacturing partners throughout Europe and Asia that contribute to the production of our infrared sensor based products. In addition, Pyreos benefits from an ongoing relationship and support from Siemens with whom we have a technical cooperation.
Pyreos’ aim is to become the leading global supplier of infrared sensor products for commercial applications.
