IECEx is internationally recognised certification, globally accepted as a mark of performance and meeting high safety standards. It is based on a number of International Standards associated with explosive atmospheres, which gives our customers and distributor network the upmost confidence in the analyser.
MCERTS is the Environment Agency of England & Wales (EA) Monitoring Certification Scheme. It gives confirmation of performance of equipment to the demanding MCERTS standards which assists end users in demonstrating full compliance.
MCERTS provides the framework for businesses to meet quality requirements. Compliance with MCERTS gives the EA confidence in the monitoring of emissions to the environment. A key part of MCERTS is accrediting monitoring equipment and loggers used in environmental monitoring applications, although they may be invalidated if not used in line with the exact processes used when tested.
Conflict Minerals Policy
QED Environmental Systems Ltd is committed to complying with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act 2010, by requiring our supplier to disclose whether any minerals contained within the products they provide QED have originated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country and, if so, to provide a report describing the measures taken to exercise due diligence on the source and chain of custody of those minerals.
Conflict minerals are minerals mined in conditions of armed conflict and human rights abuses, and which are sold or traded by armed groups. This has for some years been a particular problem in the DRC. The DRC’s mineral wealth is enormous. It is estimated that the country contains between 65-80% of the world’s columbite-tantalite (coltan) reserves, 49% of its cobalt reserves, and 3% of its copper reserves. Gold and diamond deposits remain under explored. Industrial Diamond reserves are estimated at 25% of world reserves.
