Runway Rubber and Paint Removal
The tire rubber that adheres to runways during airplane takeoffs and landings can cause potentially unsafe conditions including increased stopping time and distance. Rampart has equipment specifically designed for cleaning built-up rubber from runways and restoring the friction. This equipment can also remove runway paint markings and prepare the surface for new coatings to be applied. Rampart’s nondestructive cleaning techniques are effective and economical ways to clean surfaces and to remove old coatings and rubber deposits.
