StemScanner - Log Optimization for Each Stem Segment
The StemScanner is the evolution of Raptor’s log scanning and optimization moved upstream to tackle the requirements of the Merchandiser. The system supports single or multiple linear scan zones to build a 3D model of the stem at high production speeds. Scan density is determined by the sensor of choice with typical resolutions in the range of ½” to 2” between slices.
FlitchScanner - Edger Optimizer Machine
Transverse and lineal scanning, optimization, and controls for the edger. The FlitchScanner produces the highest value untrimmed boards from a flitch at the edging machine center. The system supports configurations for both transverse and linear infeed. High-density 3D modelling enables the optimization logic to identify the smallest of geometric defects, even rot. Multiple scan zones are supported on lineal infeeds to minimize the system`s mechanical footprint.
BoardScanner - Optimized Scan Sort System
Superior recovery from high density scanning at the sawmill trimmer. Raptor`s BoardScanner produces the highest value trimmed board presented to the sawmill trimmer. High-density scanning models surface characteristics to accurately identify wane, machine damage, holes, rot along with other surface irregularities. The BoardScanner runs stand-alone or fully integrated with Raptor’s WEBSort, eliminating redundancies and incompatibilities experienced with a separate sorting system.
