The new name was entered in the Commercial Register of the Augsburg District Court on October 25th, 2022 under the same register number (HRB 30351). Our products and your contact persons will continue to be available to you as before. The change of our external appearance as well as letterheads and email addresses will take some time but is expected to be completed by the beginning of next year. The background to the name change is the global merger of the Showa Denko Group (headquartered in Japan) with Showa Denko Materials (formerly Hitachi Chemicals, also headquartered in Japan), which was acquired by the Showa Denko Group on April 28, 2020. Upon completion of the integration, the entire group will change its name to “Resonac Corporation” early next year and use new brand names accordingly. During the transition period, the Showa Denko logos and brand names will continue to be used.
