Introduces the industry’s first jointless underdrain
1990s: Develops new systems for sludge removal, air scour, filter monitoring and real-time adjustments.
1980s: Develops package treatment facility systems, improving efficiency of treating low turbidity water
1960s: Introduces continuous effluent turbidity monitoring to enhance filtration performance for the municipal market
1950s: Charles V. Roberts II pioneers high-rate filtration to the municipal market.
Provides water treatment facilities for the Manhattan Project, utilizing highrate filtration clean water for the world’s first atomic energy installations
Jesse W. Roberts consolidates efforts into new filtration plants, builds many installations that have been in constant use ever since.
Charles V. Roberts oversees development of first Army mobile water purification units.
