Full Flow FCC Flue Gas Filters
Apart from the many challenges that refiners are confronted with, they also have to face new stringent regulations with regard to, amongst others, FCC catalyst fines emissions. Royal Dahlman offers Best Available Technology (BAT) for the reduction of particulate matter (PM) emissions. Our innovative and highly efficient, proven filtration technology, guarantees the lowest catalyst fines emissions, at low installed costs, compared to other separation technologies such as an Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP), a Third Stage Separator (TSS) or a Wet Scrubber (WGS).
Flue Gas Filter
Upstream and Downstream of the Waste Heat Boiler (WHB): Royal Dahlman offers proven catalyst filtration technology for the lowest achievable stack emission!. Upstream of the WHB: Fourth Stage Separators (TSS Underflow Filters): The Royal Dahlman Fourth Stage Separator (FSS) increases the separation of the total TSS package efficiency to the required values in combination with the underflow of the TSS. Our FSS features a ‘downflow’ arrangement and special gas distribution inlet section, developed based on extensive CFD analyses and tailored for the filtration of FCC flue gas. Our FSS utilizes high quality, sintered porous metal filter elements, which have proved to perform excellent under the severe FCC flue gas conditions.
Slurry Oil (MCB) Filtration System
Upgrading main column bottom product to a valuable commodity can add revenues up to $40/barrel. By removing catalyst fines from slurry oil, or main column bottoms, product fuel oils can be upgraded, or feedstock can be provided for production of carbon black or other products.
Hopper Vent Gas Filtration System
The FCC process requests to be operated 24 hours a day and as such, the reliability and availability is of critical importance. Royal Dahlman`s Catalyst Hopper Vent Gas Filters can be operated without any shutdowns in between two TAR`s.
Fluid catalyst is continuously circulated between the FCC reactor and the regenerator using air, oil vapours, and steam as the conveying media. During the pneumatic transfer of catalyst to and from processing units and catalyst storage hoppers, fine catalyst is created. Filters effectively remove catalyst particles from vent gas streams before release to atmosphere, while efficiently recovering valuable product. Our technology is applied in refineries all over the world and approved/ recommended by main FCC licensors.

Dahlman - Terraced Filters
The Dahlman Terraced Filter has found its roots in the filtration of gel particles in the production process of Vinyl Chloride Resin (PVC), Polyol and Rubber. Originally a conical pleated type of filter element design with 2,5 m2 filtration area was used which used a resin bonded sealing.

Air Intake Systems
The purpose of an air Intake system is to supply clean air to the gas turbine or compressor. Air needs to be properly cleaned and conditioned to ensure optimal operation of the main installation. Royal Dahlman is a supplier with a flexible approach; from the situational planning of the installation on site, to the bell mouth of gas turbine (or other rotating equipment).
