Saati, the first company, is established to manufacture silk flour mesh fabrics.

1938/39

New ownership and introduction of mechanical looms.

1946

Start-up of the production of fabrics for printing pictures.

1950s

First approach to international markets.
Saati imports the first synthetic yarn (nylon) from the USA.

1960s

Skills acquired in the textile framework are applied to silk-screen printing.
Early steps in the ceramic sector.
Saati is the first company in the field of precision fabrics to introduce the shuttleless loom.

1970s

Kevlar, aramid fibre, is woven.
The strategic decision is made to develop the filtration sector.
The workforce increases along with turnover and international expansion.

1985

Tessitura Bozzone is acquired, and later renamed Euromesh.

1985

Saati BV is established in the Netherlands on acquiring a distributor.

1993

Acquisition of Seal (Legnano) and Texindustria (Como). Hence, Saait steps into the sector of fabrics with high technological content (carbon).
The French competitor Tripette & Renaud is acquired, and later renamed T3, enhancing the Group with its secondary brands.

1995

Majestech Corp, NY, is acquired in the United States.

1996

Saatitech is established to focus on the sector of filtration.
Saati, instead, focuses on silk-screen printing by absorbing Euromesh, and changes name from Saati to Saatiprint.

1998

Shanghai Saati Fabrics and Saati GmbH are established in China and Germany, respectively.

1999

Saati buys shares in the company Assoprint, Sassuolo, and takes over the American distributor Dorn in California.

2000

The Group is reorganised and becomes Saati Group to rationalise its activities and international presence.

2010

Fugafil Saran is acquired in Germany, a manufacturer of fabrics and filtration components.

2012

Acquisition of the Swiss company Fotec, specialised in chemical products for silk-screen printing.

2013

Saati Korea is established. Fugafil Saran is renamed Saati Deutschland GmbH.

Based on a long term business relationship, the two companies have made the decision to enter into an agreement, which will serve as the foundation for extended cooperation in defined areas.

SAATI is a global Company based in Appiano Gentile (CO), Italy, manufacturing synthetic meshes and components for industrial applications, whilst BOPP focuses on precision meshes produced using the finest stainless steel wire and other weavable metals and fabricated customized products thereof. The areas of interest and activities of both companies being very complementary, a contractual agreement was signed in order to exploit the considerable synergies arising from this solid alliance.

Cooperation will initially focus on defined markets and products related to knowledge and resource sharing, technical developments and joined commercial support. The Agreement will enable both companies to provide innovative solutions for new challenging applications, enhancing the entire value proposition of the newly created supply chain.
