Well water often contains Iron, which may stain plumbing fixtures, bath tubs, shower walls and doors. Iron can also stain sidewalks, driveways and add a metallic taste to your water. Hydrogen Sulfide may also be present, resulting in “rotten egg” or Sulfur odors. Manganese may also be a problem, leaving black spots on plumbing fixtures. Sulfur Shield systems are designed to remove Hydrogen Sulfide and these other impurities without using chemicals in most installations. However, if your water contains bacteria, water treatment chemicals may be required for disinfection.

Safeway Water Acid Neutralizers utilize a blend of Calcite and Corosex® to neutralize the free carbon dioxide in water, rendering it less corrosive. Calcite has “self-limiting” properties.  When properly applied, it corrects pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. It does not over correct under normal conditions. Upon contact with Calcite, acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the pH which reduces the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. Periodic backwashing will prevent packing, reclassify the bed and maintain high service rates.

Major components of our Commercial water softeners include our metered control valve, designed to provide greater efficiency; pressure tank; brine tank to contain the water softener salt; ion exchange resin; gravel under bedding to provide even flow distribution; hub and lateral bottom distributor; and water softener salt, used to strip hardness minerals from the resin beads.  Systems are manufactured in the USA and assembled in Ocala, Florida. Valves, tanks, resins, filter media and carbons are NSF certified and meet all performance requirements.

Our stainless steel filter housings are designed to fit “Jumbo Filter Cartridges” in a variety of cartridge types. We supply stainless steel filter housings to accommodate one “jumbo” cartridge and housings for multiple “jumbo” cartridges to meet your flow requirements.
