VariPol the Compact Laboratory Polarimeter. The VariPol takes the proven SuH technology to a new level combining it with new innovations and all advantages of the VariFamily. The new design has nearly half the size of our earlier models packed with new features and highly integrated hardware. The experience of over more than 150 years in polarimetry is reflected in all components like AWC, the fortified Aluminum core, the built in quality indicator of samples as well as the check of calibration standards. The 100mm sample room is optimal for the needs of pharmaceutical and chemical laboratories.

VariRef the New Laboratory Refractometer. The VariRef combines proven Schmidt + Haensch technology with the modularity of the VariFamily. The new double isolated peltier systems allows fastest temperature control and reduces the influence of environment temperature, resulting in fast and precise measurements.

The SCHMIDT + HAENSCH electronic reflectance-meter for the automatic color grading of crystalline sugar according to the recommendations of ICUMSA, method GS2-11 (1994)and GS2-13 (1994). With this instrument the reflectance factors at 495 nm and 620 nm are measured and the ratio is indicated in terms of color type numbers. The measurement is done by use of Taylor’s law and an integrated sphere. To decrease measurement instabilities caused by inhomogeneity of the sample (e.g. different grain size)a great sample surface was chosen.

The SCHMIDT + HAENSCH EDM Density Meter is designed for continuous density measurement in a broad range of application. EDM is a rugged, sealed single-piece system with the flexibility to handle nearly any customer request for such instrumentation. The new purity analyser system of SCHMIDT + HAENSCH is a follow-up development of the previously existing Purity Analyser. It combines all advantages of the integrated new polarimeter and refractometer. The modular system of the instrument lines of SCHMIDT + HAENSCH enables you to design an automatic laboratory analyser to automatically calculate the purity in cane sugar mills or beet sugar plants. The customer can make his choose to use a polarimeter with touch screen or alternatively with LCD display.

SCHMIDT + HAENSCH has developed modular, computer aided automated laboratory systems, based on their conventional optoelectronic measuring instruments, which include not only polarimeters and refractometers but also a new sugar colorimeter and conductometric ash determination. They can also be upgraded by including pH measurement, balances, barcode scanners and all necessary instruments for measuring the most important values in the sugar industry and can achieve customer tailored systems with a different degree of automation. The measuring data can be collected by a data acquisition software package, processed, stored in a data bank and transmitted to a LIMS system.
