Other credentials include: BS degree in Civil Engineering Technology (Construction Mgmt.), Certified Erosion Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI), and nearly 10 years with Centex Homes (Nor-Cal/ Reno) as a Division Regulatory Manager; overseeing both the Safety and Storm Water management.

Scott Thorne Construction has been around since 1995 as a general contractor working on private home remodels and small lot grading operations with his father. During Scott’s employment with Centex Homes, his focus was less on building and concentrated more on environmental and safety functions. The Fall of 2009 brought forth new opportunities including renaming his company to reflect a more diverse direction and provide site storm water inspections for clients such as Pulte Homes. Then in January of 2011 Scott Thorne Environmental Consulting Inc. was formed and has focused primarily on training and CGP compliance ever since.

It is my goal to provide a service at a reasonable price that makes sense. Each job is different and I don’t feel one glove fits all. There are a lot of companies that agree to do what the owner wants, but I have a reputation of being honest and forthright about the different options and presenting the owner with these or possible problems that may arise.
