Founder - Edward L. Bittle

Like many young men in Akron, Ohio during the 40’s and 50’s Edward L. Bittle went to work in the city’s rubber industry. With knowledge obtained while working at B.F. Goodrich, Edward saw the possibility to capitalize on a niche market. In 1974 Ed founded Seal Master, a custom rubber manufacturer. It was founded on the principal of providing the customer with a quality custom product that is unique to their application. The beginning operations were small but powerful and at the time Seal Master was one of few that were offering custom rubber services.

Since that time, Seal Master has advanced to become a state-of-the-art facility offering over 7,500 innovative products for use in a variety of applications and industries.
