Through its unique smart waste management technology, Sensoneo is redefining the way waste is managed. The solution combines inhouse-produced ultrasonic Smart Sensors that monitor waste real-time with sophisticated software providing cities and businesses with data-driven decision making, and optimization of waste collection routes, frequencies and vehicle load. Sensoneo smart waste management has attracted cities and business around the world and the solution is installed in numerous locations across Europe, North America, South America, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
Strong passion for innovative technologies and solutions in the area of sensorics, data transmission and communication motivated the company to the development of unique ultrasonic sensors and the software that has the ambition to revolutionarily change the current approach to the waste management. The project was originally initiated with the aim to introduce technologies to waste collection services so that more logic, efficiency and environmental consciousness enter the whole process. We came up with the “Let’s collect waste, not containers” catchphrase that accurately reflected our intention – to collect waste when actually needed rather than on pre-determined dates. In addition to the optimization of the whole waste management process, we achieved significant time and cost savings for waste collection companies and lowered the environmental footprint of cities and municipalities.
The company became a Startup Awards 2015 finalist, it was nominated for the Via Bona 2016 award in the Green Company category and the IT project of the year in the IT GALA 2016 poll. Sensoneo also received the Golden Ant 2016 award in the Innovative Solution category and Mission award 2017 for working on innovations that tackle important social challenges.
