Gas detection

Gas detection is used for ensuring the safety of the site by measuring the concentration of gases in the air. Gas detection is typically performed by using gas detectors. The devices indicate the presence and concentration of gases in the air.

The measurement techniques and sensor cells used are selected according to the type of gas. Gas detectors maintain safety by detecting toxic and flammable gases, as well as by warning in case of an oxygen deficit.

The gas detectors can be connected to the building automation system or connected to a separate gas control unit. Together with alarm equipment, they constitute a gas control system.
